Job summary

Talos Automation, a systems integrator near Nashville, seeks a strong Controls Engineer to review, design, and develop electrical control systems for automated equipment across industries. You will start up new equipment from scratch, program and commission Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs, and travel locally 25–30% to support site installations and commissioning.

This role offers hands-on design, testing, and integration work on projects spanning packaging, material handling, and automotive

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in controls/PLC design, programming and commissioning using AB or Siemens PLCs.

Responsibilities

  • Review and design electrical control systems and equipment.
  • Develop control architectures for automated machinery.
  • Program, configure and commission PLCs and HMI interfaces.
  • Start up equipment from scratch and support site installations (25–30% travel).

Job description

I am working with a Systems Integrator who specializes in the design and manufacture of custom automated solutions for assembly, inspection, and material handling applications across a variety of industries.

They work in a number of industries including Automotive, Material Handling, Packaging, Logistics, Warehousing, Medical & Life Sciences and Consumer & Industrial.

They are currently looking for a strong Controls Engineer to join their team who can review, design, and develop all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.

You will need to have the ability to start up new equipment straight out of the box, from start to finish and completely from scratch. You will have a minimum of 2+ years\' experience working with Controls/PLCs (Configure / Program and Commission) using Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.

Travel is mostly local but at times travel to other states may be required (low travel around 25% - 30%).

The client is based just outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • -Compensation range - $110K - $120K basic + benefits (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K) - (Negotiable for the right profile)
  • -Bonus opportunity
  • -2/3 weeks vacation time

This is a Full-Time Direct-Hire position.
