Job summary

Intepros is seeking an Applications Support Engineer in Pennsylvania to troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement permanent fixes. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex problems and improve system reliability.

The role requires strong knowledge of Java-based applications, SQL Server, and modern DevOps practices, with a focus on performance, scalability, and incident documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of related experience.
• Experience supporting Java-based applications and SQL Server databases.
• Experience with Java, Angular, Kafka, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve complex issues.
• Monitor application and SQL Server database performance and identify bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain troubleshooting documentation, knowledge articles, and incident reports.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripts and tools.
• Improve system scalability, availability, performance, security, and capacity.
• Support continuous improvement of operational processes and customer experience.
• Identify gaps and dependencies across the technical ecosystem.
• Utilize DevOps and CI/CD tools to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
