Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Vice President, Application Support Engineer to lead the Depositary Receipts Platform Engineering team in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. The role focuses on diagnosing complex production issues, driving root-cause analysis, and collaborating across DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Java-based applications, SQL Server, and a strong background in Agile, DevOps, and SRE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8–10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in coding beyond simple scripts; experience with Java, Angular, Kafka, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and related tools such as AWS, Ansible, Docker, Linux, Azure, Python, Splunk, App Dynamics, and AI.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a production environment with excellent analytical skills.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other stakeholders to resolve complex issues and implement fixes.
• Monitor application and database performance; maintain system stability.
• Create and maintain documentation for troubleshooting, knowledge articles, and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders; document lessons learned.
