Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Application Support Analyst to ensure stability and performance of core business applications. The role emphasizes ITIL incident and problem management, Unix/Linux expertise, SQL querying, and hands-on experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop/Spark) and autoscheduling with Autosys.

The candidate will own end-to-end incident resolution, drive automation to reduce toil, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize support workflows in a fast-paced enterprise

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated experience in Application Support or Production Support within a fast-paced financial services or enterprise environment.
• Analytical problem-solving skills with methodical approach under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear business updates.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Big Data/EAP platforms.
• Troubleshoot data pipelines and distributed processing (Spark/Hadoop).
• Monitor clusters and resolve memory bottlenecks and job failures.
• Query and validate large datasets in Hive, Impala, HBase.
• Manage real-time messaging with Kafka including consumer groups and offsets.
• Oversee Autosys batch processing and job overrides.
• Develop automation scripts (Python/Bash/PowerShell) to reduce toil.
• Lead incident management and RCA with ITIL processes.
