Job summary

Hello Heart is seeking an App Platform Team Lead to design, build, and operate the app infrastructure, enabling shared code, SDKs, and platform services across multiple product streams. You will own mobile complexity, oversee iOS/Android and cross-platform work, and drive technical ownership across the organization.

The role combines hands-on design and leadership of a high-performance team, with a focus on performance, security, and reliability across backend and frontend work.

Qualifications

• Experience using AI tools within the software development lifecycle, including the ability to review, validate, and improve AI-generated code.
• 2+ years as an Engineering Team Lead with demonstrated people leadership and delivery ownership.
• 5+ years building mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
• Strong, practical experience with mobile CI/CD for iOS & Android (build automation, signing, rollouts/canaries).
• Proven experience building SDKs, libraries or developer tooling that are consumed by multiple product teams.
• Excellent communicator, able to align technical strategy with product needs and translate tradeoffs for cross-functional partners.
• BSc in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance and innovative engineering culture.
• Define and evolve platform architecture that supports shared code, cross-team reuse, and increased developer velocity while addressing mobile-specific complexity (native modules, bridging, cross-platform patterns).
• Make critical technical tradeoffs that balance long-term maintainability with short-term business needs.
• Stay hands-on: drive design and implementation of core pieces of the platform and
• Drive full-stack development, leading backend and frontend implementations as needed.
• Conduct deep technical research to identify and implement the best solutions for performance, security, and reliability.
