Job summary

Akamai Technologies seeks a Senior Security Sales Specialist to join our API Security Sales Team. You will own strategic accounts, build relationships with customers, and qualify opportunities with the help of a Sales Engineer to forecast accurately.

You should have experience in digital cybersecurity, API Security, API Gateway, and cloud providers, plus proven inside sales success and a track record of exceeding targets in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital cybersecurity, API Security, API Gateway and Cloud Service Providers.
• Inside sales/phone selling experience in technology with demonstrated progression.
• Experience in channel-first sales motions.
• History of consistently exceeding individual sales goals and targets.
• Experience selling to commercial and/or enterprise accounts; navigating complex organizations.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for your sales target and overachieve on that target.
• Build customer relationships and qualify opportunities to ensure accurate sales forecast.
• Work closely with a Sales Engineer to ensure their time is used optimally.
