Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Security Sales Specialist to drive API Security solutions across commercial and enterprise accounts. You will partner with a Sales Engineer and cross-functional teams to map customer needs to Akamai’s security platform and accelerate deal progress.

You should have a proven history of exceeding sales targets in digital cybersecurity, API security, API gateway and cloud services, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and close strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital cybersecurity and API security.
• Inside sales/phone selling experience in technology with progression.
• Experience with channel-first sales motions and navigating complex enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

• Being accountable for your sales target and overachieving on that sales target.
• Building customer relationships and qualifying opportunities such that the sales forecast is accurate.
• Working closely with a Sales Engineer and ensuring their time is used optimally.
