Job summary

Akamai is seeking an API Security Sales Specialist to shape a region, target accounts and contribute to the go-to-market strategy. In this high-profile role, you will be a sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.

You will manage the full-cycle sales process and work with a Sales Engineer to build relationships, qualify opportunities, and exceed targets while navigating complex enterprise accounts across the US. A flexible work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital cybersecurity, API Security, API Gateway and Cloud Service Providers.
• Inside sales/phone selling experience in technology with evidence of progression in role.
• Experience in channel-first sales motions.
• History of consistently exceeding individual sales goals in tech.
• Experience selling to commercial and/or enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle sales process through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, PoC, negotiation and close.
• Be accountable for your sales target and overachieving on that sales target.
• Build customer relationships and qualifying opportunities such that the sales forecast is accurate.
• Work closely with a Sales Engineer and ensure their time is used optimally.
