Everforth Apex in St. Louis, MO seeks a Senior API Test Engineer to lead API testing for enterprise-scale solutions. You will design testing strategies, build Postman collections from specifications, validate data and ensure reliability across integrations and data services.

You will independently manage test plans, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive quality throughout the SDLC. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Competenze

• 8+ years of software testing and QA experience.
• 5+ years of experience testing APIs, integrations and data-centric applications in enterprise environments.
• Ability to design test strategies, plans and cases from requirements and specifications.
• Proven experience testing REST APIs using Postman and Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
• Strong data validation across relational databases.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and Zephyr preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.

• Develop and execute testing strategies for API-driven applications, integrations and data solutions.
• Review requirements, specifications, API documentation and data models to define testing scope and coverage.
• Design, create and maintain test plans, cases and data.
• Build and run Postman collections from requirements and OpenAPI specs to validate API functionality and error handling.
• Independently validate API transactions and related database records for data accuracy and end-to-end results.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression and UAT testing across multiple apps.

• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure complete test coverage.
• Report progress, risks, defects and results; support release validation.
