Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications. You will mentor engineers, drive technical decisions, and partner with Product Owners and architects to deliver robust solutions.

You will build RESTful APIs and microservices, optimize performance, and ensure security and regulatory compliance across distributed systems. This hands-on technical leadership role requires extensive Java experience in an Agile

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with Java-based enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and SOAP-based integrations.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and modern web frameworks (Angular/React preferred).
• Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including SQL optimization, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Experience with application servers including Tomcat and WebLogic.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-performing enterprise applications using modern Java technologies.
• Lead technical design, architecture discussions, and solution reviews for complex initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end delivery from requirements analysis through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and business partners to refine requirements and define technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, risk, and regulatory standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues for business-critical applications.
• Conduct code reviews and establish development standards and best practices.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the team.
• Champion automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and engineering efficiency initiatives.
