Job summary
GreatAmerica is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and implement services and APIs across our enterprise platforms. You will work in a collaborative agile team, mentor peers, and drive best practices in code quality and deployment.
You will tackle full-stack development, integration, and API governance, participate in design discussions, and help scale our solutions using CI/CD. A strong communicator with 8+ years in software engineering and a passion for growth will thrive.
Qualifications
- 8+ years' experience as a software engineer with focus on services and APIs.
- 8+ years' experience with object-oriented design and error handling.
- 8+ years' experience with SQL databases and SQL.
- 5+ years' Agile development experience.
- 5+ years' experience with Swagger/OAS and API development.
- 5+ years' experience with C# or similar OO language.
- 3+ years' experience with Event-Driven Architecture and AsyncAPI.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain services and APIs.
- Troubleshoot and implement fixes in existing apps and APIs.
- Document code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in design and architectural discussions with stakeholders.
- Lead peers through code reviews and mentoring.
