Job summary

STRATEGIC MINDZ LLC is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that meet complex business and client needs. You will lead a team across the development lifecycle, crafting scalable systems, RESTful APIs, and secure solutions.

Collaborate with analysts, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into technically sound designs, while guiding junior developers and ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience in Java application development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of SDLC, version control, testing, and deployment.
• Strong security, performance, and scalability practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in government/public-sector environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java applications.
• Create clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, PMs, and clients.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Work with databases to design queries and manage data.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues.
• Review code for quality, security, and standards.
• Support modernization, cloud adoption, and migrations.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
