Job summary

The State of Colorado's Division of Accounting is seeking an AP Supervisor to oversee daily invoice processing, payments, and vendor records. You will ensure internal controls, provide guidance to staff, and support reporting and compliance across accounts payable functions.

The role requires strong accounting experience (six years) with emphasis on AP and financial reporting, and strongly prefers CPA licensure. Office is located in Denver with hybrid in-office/remote work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Six years of professional accounting experience related to AP and financial reporting.
• Education/experience totaling six years; CPA counts toward requirements.
• Must document experience clearly on the application and supplemental questions.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily invoice processing and payment runs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Enforce robust internal controls to mitigate fraud risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop AP staff and supervise daily tasks.
