Forbes Media LLC in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Temporary Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to own day-to-day AP activities, resolve complex exceptions, and support a timely close. This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, process discipline, and collaboration with the AP Director.

The position is a three-month assignment with potential extension. Ideal candidate has 5–7+ years in accounts payable, strong Excel, Concur/Carta AP experience, and solid controls awareness.

Qualificações

• 5-7+ years of progressive accounts payable experience.
• Strong general ledger coding, accruals, reconciliations, internal controls, and impact on reporting.
• Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and solve issues independently.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivots, lookups, large transaction analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Daily AP operations and ownership across invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Process and review invoices and expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Investigate discrepancies, duplicate payments, vendor disputes and missing information.
• Assist with AP aging, month-end close, and reconciliations with the accounting team.
• Prepare and initiate domestic and international payments per approvals and controls.
• Manage vendor onboarding, master data, W-9/W-8 review, and 1099 reporting support.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and vendors; escalate risks as needed.
• Identify process improvements using ERP reports and Excel; suggest automation where appropriate.
