Job summary

Revelyst Outdoor in Irvine, CA seeks a Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the full AP cycle and ensure accurate posting in the general ledger. You will collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounting to maintain compliance and drive efficient payable operations.

The role requires NetSuite experience and advanced Excel skills, with on-site work at our Irvine office and a strong focus on process improvements and timely month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• Excellent oral communication and ability to present clearly in meetings.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to edit for accuracy.
• Experience with a large ERP system; NetSuite a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Experience working in accounts payable and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage all payables and keep vendor accounts in good standing.
• Pay invoices on time, taking early payment terms when possible and ensure posting dates are correct.
• Post invoices to the correct General Ledger accounts.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve past-due invoices.
• Improve payable processes to prevent overpayments or late payments.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Receiving to document payables and match PO, invoice, and receipts.
• Ensure timely payments for rent, contracts, and royalties.
• Obtain documentation for new vendors for 1099 issuance.
• Create journal entries for credit card expenses and accruals; prepare annual 1099s.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and assist in month-end close.
