Job summary

ALCOM is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Winslow, ME to process vendor invoices, perform three-way matching, and maintain vendor records. This is a full-time on-site role in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in accounts payable or general accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices before payment approval.
• Verify invoice coding and ensure appropriate account allocations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor payment schedules to maximize available discounts and prevent overdue penalties.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and other approved payment methods.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accrual support.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms, tax identification information, and banking details.
• Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
