Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounts Payable Team. This role handles PO and non-PO invoices, travel reimbursements, vendor statements, and timely payments in a hybrid office setting.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of full-cycle AP experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Oracle. You will support month-end close, ensure 1099 readiness, and collaborate to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software; Oracle experience preferred; strong Excel skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process PO and non-PO invoices, travel reimbursements, credits, and other AP documents.
• Vendor statement reconciliations and vendor payments, including international wires.
• Assist with month-end duties: reconciliations and journal entries as needed.
• Collaborate with AP Supervisor/Manager to identify process improvements.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from management, vendors, and coworkers.
• Maintain records for audits and generate checks or other payments as necessary.
