Job summary

Whatnot Inc. seeks a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to own end-to-end AP, drive internal controls, and scale AP operations as the company grows globally. You will lead a small AP team, optimize processes, and collaborate with Finance, Legal, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.

The role offers a remote-friendly, hybrid setup with hubs in major US cities and opportunities to influence cross-border AP activities.

Qualifications

• Own the full accounts payable cycle from PO to payment
• Lead and mentor a small AP team
• Enforce purchase policy and contract controls
• Oversee multi-entity, multi-currency AP operations
• Maintain audit-ready AP documentation and SOX-aligned controls
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal and stakeholders on spend and onboarding

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounts payable cycle — from purchase order and invoice receipt through approval, payment, and reconciliation.
• Manage and mentor a small team of AP associates with guidance and feedback.
• Enforce purchase policy; ensure vendor spend is authorized; ensure contracts and documentation meet standards.
• Oversee payment runs (ACH, wire, check) for US and international entities; mitigate fraud risk.
• Support AP close activities, accruals, reconciliations, and aged payables review; ensure accuracy.
• Improve AP workflows in NetSuite and Zip; drive automation and system upgrades.
