Job summary

Heidrick & Struggles is seeking a Manager of Accounts Payable to oversee AP for 50+ entities across 30+ countries. The role leads a remote team, manages vendor relations, ensures GAAP/SOX compliance, and drives automation and AI-enabled improvements. Strong leadership and international AP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressive accounts payable experience, including supervision.
• Proficiency in AP/P2P software such as PeopleSoft Financials, Workday, Concur, Salesforce, and Zip/Coupa.
• Strong leadership in team development, performance management, and coaching.
• Experience with ERP or AP system upgrades and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution.
• Lead a remote team of seven AP professionals across Chicago, London, Munich, and Tampa.
• Track AP KPIs, identify trends and risks, and report insights to senior leadership.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to standardize AP execution and controls.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities for AP, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury and other corporate teams to automate processes and improve speed and accuracy.
