Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years in accounts payable.
• 2+ years leading AP teams.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or Dynamics).
• Familiarity with AP automation tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accounts payable operations including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.

A well-established, mission-driven organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead and modernize its accounts payable function. This position combines day-to-day ownership of the AP function with opportunities to contribute to broader finance transformation efforts, process improvement projects, and system optimization initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end accounts payable function, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment execution, and reconciliations.
• Manage and develop AP team members, creating a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Support month-end close activities through account reconciliations, journal entries, accrual support, and variance analysis.
• Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and Technology teams to improve workflows and strengthen operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the overall user experience for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including systems enhancements and process redesign.

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading or supervising AP teams.
• Strong understanding of AP operations, vendor management, payment controls, and month-end close support.
• Experience working within ERP environments such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to AP automation tools and workflow systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments and influence process improvements.
