Job summary

The Vertex Companies, LLC is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments. You will own reconciliations, issue resolution, reporting, and support month-end close while assisting the AP Manager and internal stakeholders.

You will collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to promote strong controls, improve processes, and maintain accurate vendor files as part of a comprehensive benefits package and growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with multiple experience paths (5 years with degree, 3 years with Master's, or 8 years without a degree).
• Proven ability to produce independent work products, manage projects, and coordinate with teammates.
• Demonstrated management skills and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and check requests, code and approve transactions.
• Prepare and process checks, ACH, and wire payments per schedules and controls.
• Reconcile vendor payments and monitor balances; keep accounts current.
• Respond to complex accounts payable issues and coordinate with vendors.
• Prioritize payments, maintain internal controls, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain vendor records and support timely close with analysis and reporting.
• Produce monthly AP reports and assist with month-end close and ad-hoc analyses.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve workflow and payment accuracy.
