Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Senior SME / Systems Engineer for the Air Operations Center Weapon System (AOC WS) program in Hampton, Virginia. The candidate will coordinate engineering actions, engage stakeholders, and sustain communications with Government leads to ensure operational readiness and compliance.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, 10+ years in DoD/C2 environments, and a strong systems engineering foundation, working across on-premise infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of related experience in C2 or DoD systems.
• Active Top Secret clearance required; TS/SCI eligibility preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical actions within the AOC WS engineering and integration teams.
• Interface with stakeholders to optimize products and ensure readiness and contractual compliance.
• Grow and maintain communication with AOC WS Government leads.
