Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced Sr. Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers across multiple locations including ORs, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and perioperative units.

The role requires independent judgment, strong clinical skills, and mentorship to junior technicians. Responsibilities include setup and operation of monitoring equipment, troubleshooting anesthesia-related devices, and ensuring readiness of locations and supplies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; anesthesia technology certification or equivalent health-related field.
• In lieu of degree, relevant experience may satisfy requirements.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician preferred or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers during procedures in OR, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and other locations.
• Monitor and manage anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness.
• Mentor and train fellow Anesthesia Technicians.
• Support quality/safety initiatives and participate in process improvements.
