Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a senior Android platform architect to define and evolve shared Android architecture for multiple product apps, focusing on high reliability and reusable platform services.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with systems, hardware, and clinical teams to translate multi-product needs into robust platform designs. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of Android development, Kotlin expertise, and experience in healthcare or regulated

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
10+ years of software development experience, including Android.
Proven experience leading technical architecture across complex mobile platforms.
Expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development (networking, DI, coroutines, APIs, CI/CD).
Experience building reusable mobile SDKs and platform services.
Hands-on experience integrating cameras, connected devices, or embedded services.
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional leadership skills.
Experience in healthcare or regulated environments with compliant software development.

Responsibilities

Lead Platform Android Architecture and Delivery across product apps.
Own cross-product platform capabilities and on-device building blocks.
Enable product teams with contracts, requirements, and release alignment.
Raise engineering quality with coding standards, reviews, and tests.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to improve velocity and maintainability.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, clinical, and product partners.
Document architecture, design, and test documentation for regulated development.
