Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a remote contract role in the US. Lead design, development, and maintenance of core Android apps, mentoring teammates and guiding architecture choices.

Requirements include 5+ years mobile Android experience, Kotlin and Java proficiency, and experience with MVVM/MVP/Clean Architecture, Retrofit, Room, and modern UI tooling. Competitive hourly rate with benefits for W2/corp-to-corp consultants.

Qualifications

• 5+ to 8+ years of Android-focused mobile development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Develop advanced Android apps from scratch or enhance large-scale codebases.
• Architecture: Own MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture and adhere to SOLID principles.
• API Integration: Connect with RESTful APIs, JSON, WebSockets, and backend services.
• Optimization & Quality: Profile performance, fix memory leaks, reduce crashes and ANRs, write tests.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, mentor teammates.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Manage Git-based work, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Google Play release management.
