Job summary

Veepee Tech is seeking an Android Developer to join the Core Team. You will be part of a distributed, fully agile group of 6-8 engineers, improving the Android app, building internal tools, and contributing to code reviews and production deployments.

You will champion SOLID principles, write tests, and mentor others while collaborating across time zones. Remote work is possible up to 2 days per week, with a focus on performance, security and design decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Kotlin and Android.
• Experience with Coroutines, MVI/MVVM and Compose.
• Proficient with REST APIs and Retrofit or similar libraries.
• Familiar with Git, CI, and Google Play deployment workflows.
• Automated testing and SOLID design in practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop features from design to production, including architecture, UI, tests and deployment.
• Build internal automation tools, design system components and libraries.
• Maintain, fix bugs and respond to incidents within own scope.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and release trains.
• Lead projects occasionally and guide less experienced developers.
• Keep deployments in production and collaborate on system design decisions.
• Explore new libraries and services and document decisions for the team.
• Improve automation tools, CI pipelines and workflows.
