Job summary

Midnite is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join the Core team in the UK with remote work. You will lead the design, development and release of customer-facing Android features, and own end-to-end technical work from problem framing to release.

Bring deep Kotlin expertise and substantial Jetpack Compose experience to shape scalable Android architecture, drive performance and quality, and mentor peers while collaborating with Product, Design, Backend, Web, iOS, and broader Android teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial native Android development.
• Proven track record shipping production Android apps on Google Play.
• Strong Kotlin expertise with Jetpack Compose experience.
• Experience designing modular Android architectures and trade-offs.
• Knowledge of Coroutines, Flows, lifecycle-aware code, and testing.
• Ability to lead features from discovery to delivery and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and release of customer-facing Android features.
• Own end-to-end technical work from problem to release.
• Set and evolve Android architecture and engineering practices.
• Write maintainable Kotlin code with Jetpack Compose.
• Drive performance, reliability, accessibility, and UX quality.
