Job summary

Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer for the Fable team to lead Android development and shape the app’s future. You’ll drive architecture, own end-to-end quality, and collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver polished, scalable experiences for a broad reading community.

You will mentor teammates, champion usability and performance, and explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while maintaining a user-centric focus.

Qualifications

5+ years of Android development experience.
Proficient in Kotlin and modern Android architectures.
Experience with Jetpack Compose and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Design and build high-quality Android experiences for Fable.
Collaborate with product, design, QA, and other engineers to deliver performant features.
Strengthen app architecture and performance.
Contribute to technical direction and coding best practices.
Improve code quality, test coverage, and release reliability.
Participate in code reviews and mentoring to grow the team.
