Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer for the Fable team to shape and own Android experiences. You will lead feature development, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate across product, design, and QA to deliver polished, scalable experiences for a global reader community.

You will mentor teammates, improve performance, and help apply AI coding tools to increase velocity while maintaining exceptional usability and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience in consumer apps.
• Strong Kotlin skills with Jetpack Compose and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience shipping at scale with attention to usability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-quality Android experiences for Fable.
• Collaborate with product, design, QE, and engineers to deliver polished features.
• Strengthen app architecture and performance across Android codebase.
• Contribute to technical direction and Android foundations.
• Partner with engineers to improve code quality, test coverage, and release reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, mentorship, and design discussions to grow the team.
• Champion a user-first mindset and apply AI coding tools to accelerate development.
