Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Specialist in Business Insights & Analytics to partner with Marketing, Sales, and enabling teams across global functions. Translate complex data into actionable insights for brand strategy, forecasting, and omnichannel effectiveness.

You will design and leverage advanced analytics, collaborate with Data Science teams, and mentor junior analysts while supporting a data-driven culture with GDPR-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
• 5+ years in analytics or data analysis (regulated industry preferred).
• Commercial, marketing, or sales support experience; pharma/healthcare a plus.
• Advanced skills with Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI; Python/R knowledge beneficial.
• Working knowledge of AI and Generative AI technologies with responsible use.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current and historical performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks across brands, campaigns, customers and channels.
• Provide fact-based recommendations to support marketing strategy, sales execution, forecasting, and omnichannel effectiveness.
• Translate complex analytics into clear narratives for senior and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Deliver ad-hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decision making.
• Contribute to dashboards and reports tracking KPIs related to brand performance and customer engagement.
• Collaborate with IT and global teams to ensure data quality, governance, and robust KPI design.
