Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full-time experience in Analytics Engineering/BI/Warehouse Modelling.
• Expert in SQL with a strong ability to write performant, readable, and DRY code.
• Extensive experience with dbt for managing the transformation layer.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, particularly with BigQuery.
• Experience with version control (Git), orchestration (Airflow), and BI tools (Metabase, Tableau, Looker).
• Knowledge of Dimensional Modeling using Kimball or Star Schema methodology.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Architecture: Model complex business processes and design/refine data models.
• Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt.
• Monitoring: Ensure data quality and reliability and manage data lineage.
• Build for History: Design and implement historical tracking for accurate reporting.
• Data Governance: Establish and maintain governance standards and best practices.
• Workflow Streamlining: Implement best practices using DBT and Airflow.
• Data Models: Build models for the metrics layer/semantic layer.
