Job summary

Tillster’s Data Science and Analytics team seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own data warehouse infrastructure and build real-time data pipelines supporting analytics across marketing, product, and operations. You’ll transform raw data with dbt and collaborate with analysts to ensure accurate dashboards.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years Python/SQL, 2+ years AWS and Airflow, and experience with Looker/Tableau. This role emphasizes data quality, governance, and scalable BI data models.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing in Python.
• 4+ years of experience in SQL (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• 2+ years working on AWS or equivalent cloud platform.
• 2+ years working with Airflow or comparable orchestration tools.
• Working knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Hands-on experience supporting the data needs of BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• Experience with real-time ingestion tools such as Snowpipe, Stitch, Fivetran, or Kinesis.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain data warehouse infrastructure across Redshift, BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Build and maintain real-time, batch, and streaming data pipelines supporting analytics products.
• Design data structures for real-time and near-real-time decisions.
• Support data needs of the MarTech stack (Braze, Acoustic, MoEngage, Segment).
• Modify and maintain SQL and Python ELT processes loading data into warehouses.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Airflow/Jenkins jobs; collaborate with DevOps on infra.
• Fulfill ad-hoc data extract requests and other data engineering duties.
