Job summary

LifeStance Health Inc. seeks an experienced Principal Analytics Engineer to lead analytics engineering across the enterprise.

You will design scalable data models, drive governance, and mentor analysts while delivering trusted data assets for decision-making. Partner with leaders to translate complex questions into measurable metrics, ensure data quality, and advance EHR and scheduling analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience using advanced SQL to build production-grade data transformations and analytics datasets.
• 8+ years designing scalable analytics and data modeling solutions in healthcare or regulated environments.
• 6+ years operating independently in senior roles, aligning metrics with stakeholders.
• Expert-level skills in analytics data model design and execution with dbt, including facts/dimensions and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain SQL-based data transformations from EHR and enterprise systems.
• Design reusable enterprise data models and semantic layers for KPI consistency.
• Establish standards for analytics engineering adoption, testing, and documentation.
• Develop datasets for enterprise dashboards in Power BI or similar tools.
• Collaborate with business leaders and analysts to translate questions into metrics and data products.
• Mentor analysts in SQL, dimensional modeling, version-controlled development, and governance.
