Job summary

LifeStance Health is seeking an experienced Principal Analytics Engineer to provide technical leadership for Enterprise Analytics. This senior IC will design scalable data models and analytics products spanning patient demand, access, engagement, capacity, scheduling, and enterprise KPIs.

You will hands-on with SQL, data modeling, testing, and documentation while mentoring analysts and establishing standards for analytics engineering across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or another discipline with relevant work experience required.
• 10+ years of experience using advanced SQL to build production-grade data transformations, analytical datasets, and reusable models supporting BI, analytics, or data products.
• 8+ years of experience designing flexible, scalable analytics and data modeling solutions in the enterprise context.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain SQL-based data transformations from EHR and other systems into analysis-ready datasets.
• Lead the design of reusable enterprise data models and semantic layers for KPI analysis across domains.
• Establish the foundation for analytics engineering adoption, including modeling patterns and testing practices.
• Develop and maintain datasets for enterprise dashboards and analytics products in Power BI or similar tools.
• Partner with leaders, analysts, and product teams to translate questions into data products and insights.
• Serve as an internal analytics engineering expert advising on model design, governance, and data quality.
• Mentor analysts in SQL, dimensional modeling, and governance of data assets.
• Lead troubleshooting for data quality issues and implement durable controls for trust and lineage.
• Collaborate with data engineering, governance, and analytics teams to align models with architecture and privacy needs.
