Job summary

LifeStance Health Inc. is seeking a Principal Analytics Engineer to provide technical leadership for Enterprise Analytics and create scalable analytics foundations across patient demand, engagement, scheduling, and enterprise KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or another discipline with relevant work experience required
• 10+ years of experience using advanced SQL to build production-grade data transformations, analytical datasets, and reusable models supporting BI, analytics, or data products
• 8+ years of experience designing flexible, scalable analytics and data modeling solutions in healthcare environments, including dimensional models, semantic layers, and dashboards
• 6+ years of experience operating independently in a senior or lead role, partnering with stakeholders to define metrics, resolve ambiguity, and deliver enterprise-scale analytics solutions
• Demonstrated experience leading analytics engineering architecture and standards across multi-data-source environments
• Expert-level skills in analytics data model design and execution with dbt
• Proven ability to create adoption foundations and influence via standards, reusable frameworks, enablement, code review, documentation
• Strong healthcare or regulated-industry experience with data privacy, security, governance
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Awareness and inclusion of diverse backgrounds in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain SQL-based data transformations for clean, tested datasets
• Lead design of reusable enterprise data models and semantic layers
• Establish foundations for analytics engineering adoption including standards and testing
• Develop datasets for dashboards and analytical products in Power BI or similar tools
• Collaborate with business leaders to translate questions into metric definitions and data products
• Advise on model design, governance, data quality, and responsibilities across teams
• Mentor analysts in SQL and dimensional modeling, promoting governance
• Lead troubleshooting for data quality and metric issues and implement durable controls
• Coordinate with data engineering and governance teams to align enterprise models with architecture and privacy requirements
