Job summary

Monzo is seeking an Analytics Engineer to help shape and scale our data warehouse. You will build robust data models downstream of backend services, enabling better decision making and faster insights across product, engineering and data science teams.

You’ll own data warehouse improvements, define standards, and collaborate to reduce complexity and cost while ensuring data quality and governance across Monzo’s analytical pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience building data models for downstream data warehousing.
• Strong SQL and data modelling fundamentals.
• Experience with Big Data and ETL projects.
• Familiarity with Python or Go is a plus.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build downstream data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Optimize the Data Warehouse to reduce complexity and cost.
• Define best practices for data warehouse design, metadata, and testing.
• Set data standards across Monzo and collaborate with teams.
• Monitor and improve data quality in the warehouse.
• Support data governance prioritization.
• Participate in on-call data pipelines support as needed.
