Job summary

Upsun is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Data Science and Engineering team, focusing on turning vast data into actionable insights. You will work on data models, metrics, and data products using DBT, SQL, Python, and cloud tools like GCP and AWS, while collaborating with teams across the company.

You will help drive scalable analytics, cost modeling, and AI-enabled data initiatives in a fully remote, globally distributed environment, reporting to the Data Science and Engineering

Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL and DBT in real production settings.
• Good habits in Python, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience building data models for large datasets in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling and Architecture: design and build models turning raw data into useful metrics using DBT and medallion architecture.
• Metric Design & Ownership: define and track key business metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: collect requirements and share methods with technical and non-technical teams.
• Technical Leadership: lead data modeling projects and tool selection.
• Scalable Solutions: handle petabyte-scale datasets and cloud cost modeling.
