Job summary

1KOMMA5° is seeking an Analytics Engineer to build trusted data foundations and empower teams across 7 international markets. You will create scalable data models, define success metrics with product stakeholders, and drive insights from data across a real-time, energy-focused platform.

You will enable self-service analytics with reusable semantic models, leverage AI tooling, and continuously improve the analytics stack.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining production data models using SQL and modern transformation tools (e.g. Dataform, SQLMesh or dbt).
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with BigQuery and a BI tool, ideally Looker.
• Comfortable partnering with Product Managers and business stakeholders to translate questions into scalable analytics solutions.
• A proactive, pragmatic mindset with strong communication skills and a passion for making data accessible and trustworthy.
• Bonus points for exposure to data science or machine learning applications in a business context.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, production-grade data models and analytics foundations that power decision-making across our 7 international markets.
• Partner with Product Managers and business stakeholders to define success metrics, evaluate product outcomes, and turn data into actionable insights.
• Enable self-service analytics through trusted metrics, reusable semantic models, and scalable data products that help teams answer their own questions and demonstrate the impact of their work.
• Leverage AI and modern analytics tooling to accelerate insight generation, improve analytics workflows, and enable stakeholders to interact with data more effectively.
• Continuously improve our analytics platform through robust modeling, testing, documentation, and engineering best practices.
