Job summary

Vanta is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lay the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function. You will partner with data science and business stakeholders to ensure our analytics stack meets current needs with an eye toward the future.

You will design data models, write scalable SQL, and enable AI tooling while improving data infrastructure and exposing analytics across the enterprise. Collaboration with product and engineering teams will shape reporting for the organization.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of data experience and two+ years in software engineering or related field.
• Experience with analytics tooling: dbt, Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma.
• System-oriented mindset to build data frameworks and minimize bespoke queries.
• Deep knowledge of dimensional and fact modeling in modern data architectures.
• Passion for enabling the developer experience of data across the company.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex data models to enable dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data science teams.
• Write highly tuned, scalable SQL queries across large, heterogeneous data warehouses.
• Enable AI tooling with semantic layers and observability, guiding analytics practices.
• Manage and improve data infrastructure to drive data-driven decision-making solutions.
• Help develop front-end applications to expose analytical data sets enterprise-wide.
• Collaborate with Product and Corporate Engineering to structure source systems for reporting.
