Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and own canonical data models powering financial performance, GTM analytics, and product insights.

You’ll partner with Finance, Revenue Ops, Marketing, and Product to deliver a scalable analytics foundation. You will build end-to-end data pipelines across CRMs, ERPs, and product platforms, emphasize quality, and drive problems to resolution with strategic impact.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL with advanced analytical techniques.
• Design enterprise-grade dimensional models on modern cloud warehouses.
• Hands-on experience modelling SaaS/CRM/ERP sources like Salesforce or NetSuite.
• Proven Dataform or dbt production experience with materializations and snapshots.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Security/compliance mindset including GDPR/SOX and data access controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data models powering financial reporting, GTM analytics, and product insights.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable models with incremental value and feedback loops.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into well-scoped technical solutions with estimates.
• Collaborate across Hub & Spoke architecture with upstream/downstream teams.
• Document models with column descriptions and contracts for human reviewers and AI workflows.
• Diagnose root causes and drive systemic fixes rather than patches.
• Own end-to-end pipeline health, monitoring, incident response, and risk surfacing.
• Manage personal sprint commitments and contribute to team planning and prioritization.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical sessions.
