Job summary

Bamboo Insurance is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join the Data Strategy and Architecture team in the United States. The role focuses on designing, building, validating, and maintaining trusted analytical data assets to support reporting, BI, and executive decision-making.

Strong SQL, data modeling, and data validation skills are essential, with priority given to Snowflake and dbt experience. The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and reporting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, BI engineering, data warehousing, or similar data role.
• Strong SQL skills including joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions, data profiling, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
• Experience building analytical data models in Snowflake or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with dbt or similar SQL-based transformation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and star schemas.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain analytical data models for reporting and business consumption.
• Develop curated datasets, fact and dimension tables, marts, and semantic data layers.
• Build scalable transformations using SQL, dbt, Snowflake, or similar tools.
• Document business rules, transformation logic, metrics, data lineage, and gaps.
• Prepare trusted datasets for BI tools and support reporting teams.
