Job summary

Block is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join its AI & DX Analytics team in the United States. You will own telemetry pipelines, build governed data for executive dashboards, and drive AI ROI and developer experience improvements.

We are looking for a strong analytics product thinker who can define metrics, validate signals, and present clear narratives to senior leadership. You will use AI coding agents to write, test, and maintain data pipelines and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence, owning production data pipelines and insights end to end.
• Strong SQL and Python, with hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines against a cloud data warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Instrument and extend telemetry about AI usage, code changes, CI/CD activity, and spend—building new data capture.
• Define new metrics and earn stakeholder trust in a new number by validating and reconciling it until it holds up.
• Build and ship executive-facing dashboards and visualizations that turn governed metrics into decision-ready reporting.
