Job summary

Block, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own telemetry and end-to-end data pipelines.

You will instrument new signals, build governed data pipelines, and deliver executive-facing dashboards and analyses that inform leadership decisions on AI investment and developer experience. You will define metrics, validate data, and craft narratives that translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI with production pipelines and end-to-end insights.
• Background in developer experience, AI effectiveness, or platform analytics.
• Strong SQL and Python with hands-on data pipelines to Snowflake.
• Experience building dashboards for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficient with git, CI/CD and debugging production pipelines.
• Experience with metrics governance or semantic layers.

Responsibilities

• Instrument and extend raw telemetry about AI usage, code changes, CI/CD, and spend.
• Partner with data engineers on production ETL pipelines to govern data.
• Define new metrics from evolving signals and validate them.
• Build executive dashboards and visuals for decision-making.
• Translate complex findings into a concise executive narrative.
• Lead cross-team collaboration and ensure end-to-end telemetry flow.
