Job summary

Genius AI is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own how data is modeled, defined, and trusted across the business, partnering across product, design, and engineering. You will design and maintain the dbt project, ensure data quality, and enable AI-driven decision making for scalable insights in NYC and across teams.

You will work with Snowflake, dbt, and a modern data stack to turn raw data into trustworthy datasets, building automated tests, documentation, and robust data workflows while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an analytics engineer, data engineer, or reporting engineer, with 2+ years of hands-on dbt development.
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows for modeling, testing, or documentation.
• Strong bias for action, shipping quickly, and iterating.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with scalable data models.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the dbt project, including design patterns and modeling standards.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to support features and validate metrics.
• Design and build data solutions with data requests from Marketing, RevOps, Sales, and Finance.
• Build, refactor, and optimize dbt models turning raw data into scalable datasets.
• Use AI to build automated testing, documentation, and data workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering to shape ingestion and transformation pipelines.
• Drive data privacy, governance, and quality standards.
