Job summary

GEICO is seeking a data delivery engineer to design and maintain datasets, extracts, reports and dashboards. You’ll contribute to data pipelines across multiple environments, working in an agile team to test, validate, deploy and support solutions for operational reporting.

You will write code to build datasets, optimize queries, and collaborate with peers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable data products. Hybrid work is required, with on-site days at select offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient developing data pipelines using dbt, GitHub and Airflow or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks, and communicate clearly.
• Hybrid work requirement: location specific.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data delivery solutions for operational reporting, datasets, extracts, reports and dashboards.
• Design scalable data models and delivery architectures with guidance from leadership.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes using dbt, Azure Data Factory or related tools.
• Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support client projects and migration from SAS to modern GEICO tech.
• Automate daily maintenance, testing, validation, and deployment tasks.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Contribute to development standards, documentation, and code reviews.
