800flowerscareers is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Engineer to join our Data Products & Platforms team. You will shape the analytics data layer, define standardized metrics and datasets, and enable trusted, scalable analytics across the organization.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, analytics partners, and data engineering to ensure data is reliable, well-documented, and ready for advanced analytics, AI use cases, forecasting, and self-service BI with Sigma, Power BI, and other

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering.
• Advanced SQL skills; hands-on with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Experience building ELT pipelines using Coalesce.io, dbt, or comparable frameworks.
• Strong BI experience with Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
• Deep understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schemas.
• Ability to translate analytical needs into scalable data solutions for business users.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own analytics-ready datasets in Snowflake via curated ELT pipelines.
• Develop Snowflake semantic views to standardize KPIs and metrics.
• Translate business needs into scalable data solutions for stakeholders.
• Enable self-service analytics across BI tools like Sigma and Power BI.
• Document datasets, metrics, and analytical models clearly.
• Monitor and improve data quality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to evolve the analytics layer.
• Support AI and advanced analytics by delivering high-quality datasets.
• Provide senior guidance on analytics engineering best practices and data modeling.
