1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Engineer to shape the analytics data layer and own data products for scalable, trusted datasets. You will collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to ensure reliable analytics-ready data assets across BI tools like Sigma and Power BI.

The role emphasizes designing semantic layers, building ELT pipelines, and delivering high-quality data models for AI/advanced analytics use cases, with a senior-level ownership style.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles.
• Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Experience building and maintaining ELT pipelines using tools such as Coalesce.io, dbt, or comparable frameworks.
• Strong experience supporting BI and analytics tools (e.g., Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
• Deep understanding of data modeling concepts, including fact and dimension tables and star schemas.
• Proven ability to work directly with business users and translate complex requirements into effective data solutions.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own analytics-ready datasets in Snowflake using curated ELT pipelines.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake semantic views to standardize business logic, KPIs, and metric definitions.
• Translate analytical needs into scalable, reusable data solutions for business users.
• Enable and support self-service analytics across BI tools such as Sigma and Power BI.
• Establish and maintain documentation for datasets, metrics, and analytical models.
• Monitor, validate, and improve data quality, performance, and reliability.
