Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Sr. Manager, Analytics & BI Engineering to lead enterprise metrics and reporting capabilities across the organization.

You will own the semantic layer, certify metric definitions, and enforce governance across all reporting assets to empower trusted business decisions. You will lead analytics engineers and BI developers, set standards, and manage external delivery partners while advancing the analytics maturity within business functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related technical field.
• 8–12 years building enterprise metrics and BI solutions.
• 3–5+ years leading analytics and BI teams.
• Experience owning enterprise reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik) with governance and performance tuning.
• Experience with semantic modeling tools (AtScale, dbt Semantic Layer, LookML, or Analysis Services).

Responsibilities

• Own semantic layer as source of enterprise metric definitions.
• Ensure metric definitions align with data governance and data product functions.
• Lead analytics engineers, BI developers, and analysts through coaching and career development.
• Define engineering standards for metrics and reporting including design, testing, and release practices.
• Oversee external BI delivery partners and capacity planning.
