Job summary

Deckers Brands seeks a Sr. Manager of Analytics & BI Engineering to own the enterprise metrics layer, define reporting standards, and lead both internal analytics staff and external BI partners. You will ensure data quality, model consistency, and scalable delivery across brands and functions.

You will guide the semantic layer, coordinate with data governance and product functions, and mentor a team of analytics engineers and BI developers in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–12 years building enterprise metrics, reporting, BI solutions.
• 3–5+ years leading analytics/BI teams or reporting groups.
• Hands-on ownership of an enterprise reporting platform (Power BI/Tableau/Looker/Qlik) with governance.
• Experience with semantic modeling tech (AtScale, LookML, MDX/SQL) and cloud data (AWS).
• Strong SQL, BI language (DAX/MDX), and data governance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own semantic layer and enterprise metric definitions, ensure consistency across reporting assets.
• Lead both internal analytics engineers and external BI delivery partners; set standards and patterns.
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation to source of truth, and performance of reports.
• Define engineering standards for metrics, modeling, docs, testing, and release practices.
• Drive cross-functional delivery models and mentor analysts, BI developers, and engineers.
• Build reusable semantic models and reporting patterns for scalable delivery across teams.
