Position Summary:
This role is a key member of the Prepared Sales Operations team. This position will be responsible for developing and executing the category and channel strategies along with the fiscal year plan for Tyson Prepared categories. The Sr. Analyst Sales Strategy & Planning reports to the Director. This position will primarily interact with field sales, brand marketing, supply chain and finance. Primary responsibilities orient around tracking and analyzing brand category performance, merchandising and distribution monitoring, forecasting, and ownership of a category and sales channel. The Sr. Analyst Sales Strategy & Planning role is a great development opportunity allowing for solid experience working in a team-based cross-functional environment. There is significant exposure to building and executing strategies for leading national brands, along with bringing that vision to a highly sophisticated selling organization. Self-starters with a strong sense of ownership are desired in this role. Innate curiosity along with the willingness and ability to learn quickly are valued.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tracks reports and analyzes the performance of the category and key products through internal data and external syndicated data platforms. Actively provides insight and analysis to reveal marketplace strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Supports sales planning process providing fact-based insight and developing priorities that result in optimal outcomes for the organization. A key point of contact for connecting field sales teams to the internal business unit. Ad-hoc responsibilities and work on overall sales strategy and planning group initiatives and platforms with a desire to actively build a stronger team and organization. Provides key input to demand and financial forecasts. Manages ad-hoc category requests and projects as necessary. Model behaviors that support the Tyson Foods Right Behaviors and leadership principles. Establishes, nurtures, and maintains productive working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
